Strange Costumes – The Video
It felt like a natural progression to create a video to accompany this joint project between myself and Shelley House, an American artist/writer and friend. It features a host of images I felt appropriate to the wonderful lyrics, plus a few shots of me thrown in, plus a painting of me by Miki, plus some of Shelley’s bird illustrations, morphed and tampered with in iPhoto and Windows movie maker!
I enjoyed working on this, part of Shelley’s “Altered book” project, and the good news is….Part two coming soon!

Bio
(Born: 20th May,1958, Chesterfield, England) is a Bass Player and Lead Vocalist. Formerly with Tubeless Hearts, he played with English Pop band Christie from 1990 to 2003, and featured in Graham Oliver’s Saxon on two European tours, before other commitments resulted in John Ward taking over vocal duties for the resulting Oliver/Dawson Saxon CD releases. Nevertheless, he appeared on Graham Oliver’s solo album End of an Era returning the favour after Oliver had appeared on Tubeless Hearts Three CD. READ MORE….

I really enjoyed being able to read the words on the screen in such a dramatic format while listening to the music and dramatic voice. The piece becomes a real banquet for the senses. I resonate so much with the message, as you would imagine, being a bird lover. I’ve had many flying dreams and right now am looking out my window at a flock of migrating birds who look like Shelley’s one on the screen here. You’ve done an incredible job, once again and I look forward to seeing more of your collaboration pieces, including another of mine in the near future!!!
