Onstage and backstage @ Gronau

The “Auf die Ohren” festival (literal translation: On your ears!) at the Rock’n’Pop museum in Gronau where I performed recently with BC Sweet was covered by local TV company MR-GRONAU, who broadcast regular features from the region via their internet site.  You can visit it and see their full 38 minute special on the day of the concert HERE. But I’ve posted our section here on my site for your viewing pleasure. You will see that I am joined by a leading expert in the Alcohols of the World, a certain Mr. Michael Koch, who kindly takes time out from his busy drinking schedule to play lead guitar for BC Sweet!

  1. How fun to see you “in person” in interview. I could have wished for some better questions sent your way – you are probably a leading authority on rock n roll history.

  2. Thanks Susan! Yes – I could very easily go and lecture at that museum, such is my penchant for rambling on about musical history!! Perhaps the interviewer sensed this, and wanting a fairly concise piece, opted for the ‘old chestnut’ of “how do you like German beer?” (You wouldn’t believe how often we get asked that!)

  3. I agree – nice to put a real voice to the blog voice we all know! Of course, there’s always the risk of surprise like when the silent movie stars suddenly moved to the talkies… But no such disappointment here. You handled that kid well, I must say!

  4. Cheers, Bob! on a similar note, it always fascinates me when Miki – who has only started watching films in English since we met – is stunned to hear the real voices of actors that she’s watched overdubbed for years!
