Metalhedz #2: ‘Wheezer’

Here’s the second in my new art series ‘Metalhedz’.  This is Wheezer. He got his name on account of the fact that he finds it difficult to breathe.  That’s not a microphone he’s holding, it’s an inhaler. No, he’s not got asthma or anything. He sold one of his lungs so he could afford to go to an Iron Maiden concert. That’s dedication for you. Don’t try this at home, headbangers. You should let a qualified surgeon deal with your organ-trafficking needs.

METALHEDZ ARE COMING!!!

Because I’m not content having every second of my day filled up with writing, recording, broadcasting and gigging, I’ve decided to start a new art series.

Called ‘METALHEDZ’, I’m launching it today with No. 1 – ‘Zero’.  This particular dude is so-called not because he has a low opinion of himself, but because others do, and he’s not afraid to embrace his shortcomings. Oh, and he rocks out. a lot.

The Castle in the background may or may not have belonged to the late great Ronnie James Dio, we just don’t know.

The series will be characterized by, amongst other things, the fact that they are in any colour you like as long as it’s graduations of red, black, and white. Don’t argue, it’s just the way it’s got to be. We don’t want any poofy pastels around here. this is Metal, for Chrissakes!!!

The Sentinella – Cover Boy!

Our popular local magazine, The Sentinella, where my Kid Monsta cartoon strip appears monthly, was kind enough to give me the Front page for their July issue – and of course, The Kid was featured, sunbathing on Mojacar Playa!  Pete and Jo, who run the magazine single-handedly (well, double-handedly) do a great job collating news and views from around the region, and putting it all out in the ‘little mag that fits in your bag’.   Check out the online edition RIGHT HERE.
